A Journey of Ginu Joseph with plastics industry for 30 years

Ginu Joseph’s journey in the plastics, polymer, packaging and mold-making industries has been nothing short of remarkable. Started in 1995, Mr. Joseph career has evolved from media to the heart of the plastics industry, establishing him as a key figure in the sector till now.
Before venturing into plastics, Mr. Joseph worked with various B2B and B2C media companies, gaining a diverse skill set in communications and media. However, in 1995, he transitioned into the plastic industry, working with Chemical engineering and Modern Plastic International. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in his professional life.
In the late 1997, Mr. Joseph took a bold step and, along with three partners, started his own venture in the plastics media space. Their business focused on representing plastics magazines. This partnership did not prove fruitful for after a while, but Ginu’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to explore new opportunities.
In 1998, he chose to represent and contribute to the some well know magazines from the international market, a publication that would become central to his career. His involvement in the magazine went beyond representation; he also wrote articles, further establishing his expertise in the industry.
Building on this momentum, Mr. Joseph took a significant step in 1999 by launching Modern Plastic India. The magazine was officially launched on February 19, 2000, during PlastIndia Exhibition, marking a major milestone in his journey. The launch of Modern Plastic India gave Mr. Joseph a platform to showcase the latest trends and developments in the industry and share them with a wider audience.
From that point forward, Mr. Joseph’s career took off internationally. He became India’s first media professional in the plastic sector to travel globally, visiting more than 30 countries. These travels allowed him to establish valuable global connections, resulting in Modern Plastic India becoming part of the Modern Plastic Global Network and Modern Business Network based in Germany and America.
As we celebrate 25 years of excellence in the plastics industry, we reflect on an incredible journey led by Mr. Ginu Joseph and his dynamic team. This journey, which began over two decades ago, has shaped the landscape of the industry, both in India and internationally. Today, Modern Plastics India is not just a name—it’s a global network that spans over 32 countries, marking a proud milestone in its legacy.

A Visionary Leader and a Global Presence

Since 2000, Mr. Ginu Joseph has been a pivotal figure in the plastics industry, attending more than 1,600 domestic exhibitions and over 450 international ones. His commitment to showcasing the latest in the plastics sector has created an invaluable connection between local and global markets, providing a platform for growth and innovation. With more than 200 conferences presented worldwide, Mr. Joseph’s expertise and passion for the industry have been recognized on numerous international stages.But his journey doesn’t stop there. Along with his dedicated media team, Mr. Joseph has led media tours across various countries, including Nepal, Sri Lanka, UAE, and Taiwan. His efforts to promote the plastics industry have fostered global collaboration, ensuring that information flows seamlessly across borders.
Mr. Ginu Joseph has worked closely with some of the most prominent global associations and has been instrumental in promoting several international companies in India. One such partnership includes his collaboration with German India Plastic Polymer EV. His role with European Indian Business and Culture has further strengthened ties between India and Europe, creating a bridge for business and cultural exchange.
In addition to his work with international partners, Ginu also serves as the secretary for the Receptor Foundation, continuing his commitment to supporting the growth and sustainability of the industry.

A Digital Pioneer in the Plastics Industry

Ginu Joseph’s impact on the industry extends beyond just traditional media and conferences. He helped launch Modern Plastics TV in 2011, in collaboration with his European and American partners. This was the first digital TV platform dedicated exclusively to the plastics industry, marking a significant shift in how the sector engaged with its audience. With over 3,000 interviews conducted on Modern TV, Ginu has played an instrumental role in elevating the industry’s digital presence.

Today, Modern Plastics India stands as the oldest and most trusted name in the plastics industry, and the team that Ginu has carefully curated over the past 25 years continues to thrive. This legacy is built on the philosophy of “We work together, grow together, and expand together,” a mantra that has driven the organization’s success and unity.

Pioneering Change Amidst the Pandemic

In a world that was rapidly changing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ginu Joseph and his team rose to the challenge. As the lockdown began, Ginu became the first one to launch a webinar series, setting a trend that would later become a staple for the industry. On the third day of the lockdown, Modern Plastics India hosted its first webinar, and the response was overwhelming, with over 500 industry professionals attending each session. This bold move not only kept the industry connected but also set the stage for a new era of digital engagement in the industry.
